Huntingdon was the birthplace of Oliver Cromwell in 1599, and this museum in his home town tells the story of the man, his history and his legacy, through portraits, documents and artefacts pertaining to Cromwell and his family. The museum opened in 1962, in an old grammar school where Cromwell had been a pupil more than 350 years previously, and gives a fascinating insight into his life.
