Chatsworth House and its extensive estate is one of the UK’s most iconic stately homes, situated in the beautiful rolling Derbyshire countryside. The home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, it has been used for countless period television dramas and films. It enjoys enormous popularity because of this, but also because of its superbly preserved atmosphere and charm.

Haddon Hall is the second of Bakewell’s two stately homes. In comparison to Chatsworth, Haddon Hall is actually several hundred years older, with foundations in the 12th century. Carefully restored in the 1920s by the descendants of the Dukes of Rutland, who own the property. Haddon Hall is a unique example of a traditional country estate. It is own to the public during the summer, and guided tours are available.
