Click for travel directions Biggin Hall Country House Hotel is a beautiful example of traditional Derbyshire architecture. The building dates back to the late 1600s and fits perfectly into its Peak District National Park surroundings. Visitors have come to the area for centuries for the supposed therapeutic properties of the local spring waters. This part of Derbyshire makes a great location for a break in the countryside. The hotel can be found just outside Buxton, but Ashbourne, Hartington and Dovedale are all within easy reach. There are also numerous walking and cycle routes nearby, allowing guests to easily explore the best of the Peak District. If you are arriving by car, then the possibilities open even further, with the major cities of Birmingham, Derby, Manchester and Sheffield all within convenient driving distance.

Buxton’s Biggin Hall Hotel is a Grade II listed building set into eight acres of private grounds. It has retained its attractive period features to create an old-fashioned ambience. At the some time however, it has been sympathetically modernised to offer the facilities expected of a contemporary hotel, which includes a wireless Internet connection. There are 19 bedrooms in total, spread across the main house and the converted Courtyard, Lodge and Bothy buildings. Regardless of whether guests stay in the main house or the outlying areas, they receive use of all the facilities within the hotel. The most appealing accommodation is that of the Master Suite, which benefits from a four-poster bed and traditional oak-beamed ceiling. In addition to the bedrooms, Biggin Hall contains a pleasant restaurant, and a meeting room for business guests. There are also two guest lounges on site, one of which doubles as a library.
