Crich Tramway Crich Tramway Village is an enchanting family day out in the heart of Derbyshire. Visitors enter into a street reminiscent of a more traditional time, complete with cobbles. This area has been created using period buildings from across the country, and is the centre of the park. From here you can sit and enjoy a drink or something to eat in Rita’s Tearooms, the Red Lion or the Ice Cream Parlour. You can then hop on an authentic tram and take an old-fashioned journey through the village into the rest of the park. Crich Tramway Village boasts a vast array of indoor attractions, as well as being the home of the National Tramway Museum. There is a huge Exhibition Hall, depots to explore, displays to discover and the exquisitely restored Vintage Tram fleet to fascinate you. A changing programme of special events is also offered.

At the end of the tramline, past the Bowes-Lyon Bridge, lies Woodland Park. This appealing green space is a lovely place to enjoy a sunny afternoon. It has picnic areas and outdoor playgrounds, as well as the Woodland Walk and Sculpture Trail. You can simply stroll along and enjoy to the views, or keep an eye out for giant wooden sculptures hidden along the way.

If you wish to take home a souvenir of your day, there is a gift and model shop in the village, as well as a sweet shop. Birthdays and other special days can be celebrated with VIP Days, which include a guidebook, personal tour and the ability to try your hand at being a conductor. If you’re searching for that exceptional gift why not try the Ultimate Driving Experience. Courses are available throughout the year for the opportunity to spend a day learning how to drive a tram.

Crich Tramway Village is open from late February until late October. Admission includes access to all of the museums, play areas, tram rides and the Woodland Walk, as well as return admission (except for event weekends).
