Relocated from its original home at Bournemouth International Airport, Bournemouth Aviation Museum is an homage to air travel. Inside the spacious hangar is a wonderful collection of historic military jets and propeller-driven aeroplanes, many of which are still fully operational. The airport is also still visible from the museum.

The Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum sits in an elevated position on Bournemouth’s East Cliff, and contains collections of national and international importance. Exhibits are beautifully presented thanks to a £3 million refurbishment. There are some superb exhibits, with sculptures and Japanese art featuring prominently. The building is a work of art itself, and there is also a stylish café.
