Like the Lyme Regis Museum, Dinosaurland is housed in a building related to Mary Anning, one of the town’s most famous inhabitants. Privately owned, Dinosaurland contains an impressive collection of fossil remains uncovered in the local area. There is also a fossil shop so visitors can take a little piece of history home with them.

Lyme Regis Philpot Museum occupies what was once the abode of paleontologist Mary Anning, who made many important fossil findings along the Jurassic coast. Accordingly, the museum contains numerous examples of the area’s geology. There is also an area devoted to famous local and visiting writers, including Jane Austen, as well as other exhibits relating to Lyme Regis.

The Marine Theatre is a former drill hall turned entertainment venue. It is located on the coast of Lyme Regis, and commands lovely views over the seashore. It has an annual vared programme of events, ranging from comedy classics such as Dad’s Army, classic performances of Greek dramas and children’s events.
