Click for travel directions The De Vere Grand Hotel is one of the many famous Victorian landmarks on Brighton’s historic seafront. It is an imposing building with a central and prominent location, and it has been an integral part of the chequered and intriguing history of this small fishing port turned favourite seaside resort on the Sussex coast. Despite all of the changes that Brighton has seen over the years, one of the few constants has been The Grand Hotel. In many ways it is an anachronism – a curious symbol harking back to the halcyon days of the Victorian and Edwardian eras when the British seaside holiday was in its prime. Yet in the same manner that Brighton itself has transformed itself from a tired and neglected seaside town to a cool, sophisticated and bohemian destination, this venue has moved with the times. The old hallmarks of a luxury hotel certainly remain within The Grand in Brighton. Such is the presence of the magnificent hotel and its integration with the celebrated Victorian architecture of Brighton, that its grandiose Italian Renaissance styling looks as fresh and as striking as it did in 1864. There are 200 well-appointed rooms and luxurious suites, many of which command beautiful sea views, and fine dining is provided in the hotel’s celebrated King’s Restaurant. Whilst the spa facilities are currently unavailable, The Grand Hotel has a fully equipped gym on site, and in-room spa treatments can be arranged on request. The hotel also has some of the most extensive conference and banqueting facilities to be found in Brighton and across the UK. The Empress Suite is a fantastic venue with a maximum capacity of 800 guests, but you are looking for something a little smaller the flexible conference rooms can be modified to suit your needs.

The Grand enjoys a prominent location right on the famous seafront, making it ideal for not only the beach and promenade, but also for the town centre attractions and the Brighton Centre. The hotel is easy to get to by almost any form of transportation. The M23 motorway is a direct link between Brighton and London and frequent train services run from London Victoria Station directly to Brighton. Even London’s Gatwick Airport is less than 30miles away.
