The Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway is a pleasant way to spend an hour with the little ones. Scaled down locomotives lazily snake through the park grounds, and as a country park, there is plenty of space to enjoy a scenic walk. Visitors can also take time out in the onsite tearooms.

The Museum of Shops is a nostalgic trip through the modern history of commerce. Covering four floors, the exhibits include traditional shop fronts and the products they would have sold, as well as various displays related to shopping over the last century. There is also a gift shop on site.

This landmark fortification on the East Sussex coast was built in the early years of the 19th century to protect the shore against the advances of Napeoleon, but had faded in importance by the late 1800s. After being used for a variety of purposes, the fortress is now a museum detailing its military heritage. Exhibits include displays from the Royal Sussex Regiment and the Royal Hussars.
