DiningDining at Chewton Glen is truly a world-class experience. The hotel's restaurant is the proud holder of an outstanding 3 AA rosettes, ranking it in the top 10% of restaurants in the country.

Using the finest local produce, the head chef Luke Matthews has created an imaginative menu drawing from a variety of styles. The fresh ingredients include wild mushrooms, game and vegetable from the New Forest, and fresh seafood sourced from Bournemouth, Christchurch and Lymington on the coast.

The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast menu includes a continental buffet, traditional English breakfast, more unusual fare such as kedgeree, and the American favourite, waffles with maple syrup. The lunch menu changes daily and seasonally to take full advantage of fresh produce. Both a set lunch menu and full a la carte menu are available. Evening diners have a choice of either the a la cart menu, or for the ultimate gastronomic experience, opt for the five-course tasting menu, featuring the head chef's signature dishes. The tasting menu may be accompanied by a special selection of wines chosen by the head sommelier.

Chewton Glen boasts an extensive wine cellar with over 700 vintages. The choice of wines is genuinely impressive; bottles range in price from as little as £20 to up to £2000. Wine is also available by the glass. There's no need to feel worried about being overwhelmed by the breadth of choice, the expert sommeliers will be on hand to advise on the perfect choice.

The hotel's lounge is open all day for snacks, light meals and drinks. The lounges have beautiful views over the hotel's grounds with a warm and relaxed ambience. A separate bar is also located at the hotel, offering a wide selection of fine wines, whiskies, ales and cocktails.

In summer months the hotel's kitchen can prepare a luxury picnic basket, perfect for exploring the New Forest or nearby coast.
