The Cathedral and Abbey Church of Saint Alban is the seat of the Bishop of St Albans and serves the Diocese of St Albans in the counties of Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, the Borough of Luton and the London Borough of Barnet. The award-winning Verulamium Museum in St Albans, Hertfordshire is on the site of Britain’s third largest Roman city. It is set in 100 acres of parkland and uses Roman objects and new technology to let you discover the life and times of Roman Britain. The museum’s collections of mosaics and wallplasters are some of the finest outside the Mediterranean. On the second weekend of every month Roman soldiers occupy the galleries demonstrating the tactics and equipment of the Roman Imperial Army.
