Nicknamed the wobbly bridge by locals the Millennium Bridge became famous when it opened in the year 2000 due to the swaying motion experienced when walking across during its early days. After opening fully for just two days the bridge was closed for two years to remove the wobbly effect. The 370-metre footbridge spans the River Thames and meets St Paul’s Cathedral to the north and the Globe Theatre to the south.
