The Baby Abode Chelsea, also known as Sydney House Chelsea, is the first of the Abode hotel group’s new ‘Baby’ boutique brand. This elegant townhouse hotel in a grade II listed building opened in May 2009. It combines superior bed and breakfast sensibilities with Abode signature style, making it perfect for those seeking a base in London with a more personal and private atmosphere.

London’s Abode Hotel is situated near to King’s Road with all its shops and places to eat. It takes up a position between Hyde Park and the River Thames, while many of the city’s other attractions and features are within easy reach.
The Baby Abode Chelsea has only 21 bedrooms stretched over 7 floors. The rooms are beautifully furnished with comfortable Vi-spring mattresses and goose-down duvets on the beds, White Company toiletries in the stylish glass bathrooms, flat-screen televisions, DVD players and high speed internet. There is also the penthouse-style ‘Room at the Top’, which benefits from a lovely roof garden.

Sydney House Chelsea has no restaurant as such, which is not a problem in central London. It does however do a delicious breakfast in a French buffet style. Additionally, an organic all-day breakfast is available until late afternoon. The Baby Abode Chelsea also has a cocktail bar, with a decent choice of cocktails, wines and champagnes. A full room service menu is available until 10pm, with a lighter offering 24hours. The hotel’s roof terrace can also be utilised for small receptions or wedding breakfasts, and the hotel has a boardroom seating 10.
