The Cumberland Hotel London is substantial in size; it has more than 1,000 rooms, six restaurants and bars, one of which is the flagship Rhodes restaurant, and 26 meeting and conference rooms. Historically, the building itself came into existence towards the end of the 1920s and it began to usher in its guests from 1933 as the first hotel to have telephones in each room and private en suite bathrooms. Even King George V and Queen Mary were in attendance for the venue’s grand opening ceremony.
