The Bermondsey Square Hotel takes an SE1 address due to its excellent position in this up-and-coming south-east London district. Though modern and stylish in design there is something of a 1960s feel, what with its restaurant which is named Alfie’s after the 1966 film starring Michael Caine. Further, some of its top bedrooms are named after popular 1960s songs. London’s Bermondsey Square Hotel is part of a group that joins together other such venues as Ten Manchester Street, the Fredericks Hotel and Spa and the Spread Eagle Hotel in the south-east of England.
Located on the south side of the Thames, the hotel is found near Bermondsey Square and is a few minutes from the City and from Westminster. Borough Market, the Globe Theatre and the TATE Modern are all within a stone’s throw of the hotel. Of course, London’s extensive transport networks ensure the hotel is well linked up with the surroundings and for those travelling from further afield. It takes a few minutes to walk to the London Bridge train and underground stations, ensuring Canary Wharf is just three stops away on the Jubilee line.
The Bermondsey Square Hotel contains a total of 79 bedrooms, a figure that includes a number of deluxe facilities, some club rooms and four loft rooms, one of which has a hot tub on the roof. London’s Bermondsey Square is home to Alfie’s Kitchen which features a restaurant, a bar, a wine shop and a deli. Further, the hotel has Alfie’s with chips which offers a range of fish and chip options. Finally, there are four meeting and event facilities at the hotel, some of which can be joined together to form larger rooms.
