The Randolph Hotel’s elegant fine dining has entertained its share of celebrities and famous guests over the years, and it continues to be one of Oxford’s top restaurants despite some stiff competition. Having achieved a second AA rosette, the food here is accomplished traditional and modern British food, while the surroundings are beautifully formal, yet comfortable. The Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and despite the traditional atmosphere, the dress code is smart-casual and the only condition is no mobile phones.
The Morse Bar at the hotel is named after Colin Dexter’s famous Oxford detective. Many scenes of the popular television show were filmed here. The traditional furnishings and welcoming fireplace make the bar is a very pleasant place for a quiet drink.
