The Prince Rupert Hotel contains a great selection of 70 en suite bedrooms, with rooms ideal for a weekend break and a range of romantic suites for a more special occasion. There are single, twin and double standard rooms. All rooms at the hotel enjoy sprung beds, Cavendish & Clarke toiletries flat-screen free-view television, wireless internet access and hairdryer. Furthermore, many have views either of St Alkmund’s Square or the Mansion house courtyard garden.
There are also some superior bedrooms at the hotel that are larger than the standard facilities and which have certain designer materials within.
Looking to the suites, the 15th century Tudor suites all contain the facilities of the superior rooms but with enchanting Tudor original features. Likewise, the 12th century Mansion House suites are set into one of the oldest buildings in Shrewsbury. Sympathetically refurbished and furnished in the original historic style, these are the hotel’s signature suites.
Each of these suites also contain extra luxuries, including four-poster beds in the Charles Louis, Prince Rupert, King James I and Princess Charlotte suites, and Victorian roll top bathtubs in the Prince Rupert and Prince Maurice suites. Other individual features include private staircase access in the case of the Prince Maurice and Prince Edward suites and a split-level appointment in the Princess Charlotte suite.
