Dunster Castle is a National Trust site in Dunster on the outskirts of Minehead. It has a long history starting as a Norman Castle and continuing as a base for the Luttrell family line. Its elevated position means visitors can enjoy lovely views across the countryside and towards the coast. You can also view the historic interior or explore the traditional gardens.

The South West Coast Path passes from Minehead in Somerset, around the Devon and Cornwall coasts and finally to Poole in Dorset, taking in on its way some beautiful and picturesque coastline. The path is over 630 miles long, and part of it runs along the North and South Devon Coasts, offering an excellent way of enjoying the unique scenery, with plenty of stopping places en route.
