Town Walk
Town WalkThe award-winning Stratford Town Walk enables visitors and residents to explore this historic town with the help of dedicated local guides. Winner of the Godiva Award for Best Visitor Attraction, the walk takes you past the best-loved sights in the town and helps you to explore something of its past and heritage. The walk takes place each day of the year and can be arranged for private groups in addition, while it is also suitable for those in wheel chairs.

It takes approximately two hours to walk around the town with the help of the experienced guides. All you need to do is turn up at Waterside opposite Sheep Street (see below for times) and you can then join in the fun, tracing the footsteps of playwright William Shakespeare. Take a look at Shakespeare’s birthplace, the various theatres in the town, the River Avon and the churches, and soak up the culture with its interesting and unique history.

Ghost Walk
Ghost WalkThis hour and a half walk is sure to give you the creeps and send a shiver up your spine as you hear tales of witches, ghosts and other things of the night. Of course, the most popular day for this walk is Halloween, and visitors are advised to book in advance. During the rest of the year the tour takes place on Monday, Thursday and Friday beginning at 7.30pm. Learn about the ghost of the Shakespeare Theatre and the witch who lived in the slum under the watchful eye of The Man in Black and Vincent who will take you on the walk.

Ghost Cruise
Ghost CruiseStratford Town Walk also runs a Ghost Cruise where visitors will be treated to some legendary ghost stories, mind-reading and magic. The boat trips take place at various junctures throughout the year and begin and end at the landing stage next to the Holiday Inn at 7pm.
