Parham House has been a stately home since the 16th century, and has been open to the public since the late 1940s. The public rooms are furnished as they would have been several hundred years ago, and it has some lovely arts and crafts collections. The gardens are charming, and there is a restaurant in the former kitchens.

The South Downs sweep across Hampshire and Sussex and comprise two areas of outstanding natural beauty. The Downs reach the cliffs of Beachy Head at their easternmost point near Eastbourne. An area particularly popular among walkers, the Downs also feature the South Downs Way, which is also good for horses.

Worthing Museum and Art Gallery contains an intriguing compilation of exhibits covering archaeology, toys from the Georgian era to now, a regionally recognised textile collection and of course a celebrated art gallery. There are attractions on site for children, as well as a shop. Entrance is free.
