Of the former five townhouses it is number 14, once home to the Shackletons, that is used for function rooms. It was the house’s reception rooms that were transformed into today’s bespoke meeting facilities and they can be used for a variety of activities and can be set up in a range of formats. Engagement parties, wedding receptions, small conferences, private dining and barbecues are among the options for functions at the Channings Hotel.

The space is flexible; the two main rooms – the Kingsleigh and the Library – can be used in conjunction or separately, while the setting is relaxed and friendly. There is an event co-ordinator who can help with the planning and carrying out of your activity, while all the necessary equipment such as flipcharts, data projector and conference phone is available within. The largest of the rooms is created when the Kingsleigh and Library are put together and in this form the maximum capacity for an event is 50 in theatre style.
