Warren Mill is an enjoyable family day out. The farm boasts a variety of rare and unusual breeds, including both farm animals and some more surprising species such as wallabies and alpacas. Coarse fishing is available at the farm’s lake, where day fishers can attempt to catch a 23lb carp.

The Washington in Penarth is a well-respected contemporary art gallery, showing an ever-changing range of exhibitions from both regional and international artists. Over 200 birds of prey are kept at the Welsh Hawking Centre, and visitors will have the opportunity to see how the birds are reared from chicks as well as flying demonstrations from the adult birds. The centre also holds an interactive farm where lambs, calves and chicks can be petted and fed.
