Abergavenny is famed for its markets. In addition to its weekly markets, there are numerous festivals and exhibitions throughout the year, many celebrating agriculture, animals or crafts, as you might expect from a country town. As well as the annual food festival, there are several events worth a visit during 2008, including July’s Festival of Twinning, commemorating Abergavenny’s European twin towns in France, Germany and Italy.
