On Aberystwyth’s Constitution Hill – known by locals as ‘Consti’ – stands one of the world’s largest Camera Obscurae. From here, visitors may obtain the most spectacular views; on a clear day 26 Welsh peaks – including Snowdon – are visible, and the uninterrupted view of a 60 mile stretch of Cardigan Bay is a perfect photographic opportunity. A 14” lens reflects the panoramic view onto a screen in the darkened viewing gallery.

Aberystwyth Castle
Aberystwyth,
Ceredigion

Aberystwyth Castle was built during the late 13 th Century, during a very turbulent period in Welsh history. It still stands overlooking the town today, but was partly destroyed by Parliamentarian forces in 1647. Some of the original stonework from the castle has been used for buildings in the town, and the site of the ruin affords breathtaking views of Cardigan Bay.
