The Alexandra House Hotel, Wiltshire

The four-star Alexandra House is set around four miles outside the M4 corridor town of Swindon in a 20 acre area of landscaped grounds. It opened its doors to residents in May 2005 in the village of Wroughton, and so is ideally placed for a peaceful conference or wedding celebration, or even just a weekend away in the countryside. As is typically the case with Principal Hayley hotels Alexandra House is stylish in design, well-equipped and set in a beautiful context. Other such Hotels in this group include the Royal York Hotel and the Leeds Met. Swindon has excellent transport links; it is nestled in the M4 corridor and so can be easily reached from the west and the east, it has good train services to London and to Wales and is an hour from Bristol International Airport. Meanwhile, there are many things for visitors to the area to do, just some examples are: Swindon Speedway, the Badminton horse trials, Stonehenge, Caen Hill locks and the Cotswold Water Park.

The largest room is able to host up to 240 delegates, while there are other rooms which are suitable for smaller scale meetings. By rail: The Hotel is approximately 15 minutes from Swindon train station.

By air: Heathrow and Bristol airports are around one hour from the Alexandra.

By car: Leave the M4 at junction 16 and take the 3rd exit signed Wroughton and B4005. Continue for approximately half a mile and then turn left staying on the B4005 towards Wroughton. Continue for almost two miles, travelling over two mini-roundabouts, until you reach a T-junction where you will turn left onto the A4361 towards Chiseldon. Travel straight over a mini-roundabout and then at the next roundabout, with the 'Three Tuns' pub on your left, take the 2nd exit towards Barbury Castle. Continue for a mile and a half on the B4005 passing a housing estate on your right. Take the next turning on your right, then the next road on your right. Alexandra House will be on your left-hand side.

There is plenty of parking space available at the Hotel’s grounds.
