The area in and around the Aviemore Highland Resort is simply stunning. Found right at the heart of the Cairngorms National Park the Resort is ideally placed for a relaxing break in the beautiful Scottish countryside with its lakes, mountains and various activities for leisure. The Resort is home to four hotels: the Highlands Hotel, the Four Seasons Hotel, the Academy Hotel and the Aviemore Inn. There are also some rustic wood cabins which offer something a little different and perhaps slightly more adventurous. The Aviemore Resort is also the place to go for your meetings and conferences both large and small.

Highlands Hotel: There are 151 rooms in total at this the only four-star venue at the Resort. It is home to the Aspects restaurant with its choice of Scottish foods, while there are excellent views of the Cairngorm Mountain in the distance.

Four Seasons Hotel: The views from the Four Seasons Hotel are truly spectacular with the mountains and the Craigellachie Nature Reserve all nearby. The Hotel has 88 rooms in total as well as a restaurant and bar on site.

Academy Hotel: Ideal for families in particular the Academy Hotel features more than 100 guest rooms and is a relaxing place to stay.

Aviemore Inn: The three-star Aviemore Inn is less than 50 metres
from the leisure facilities and contains approximately 60 bedrooms. It is next to the Resort’s conference centre and has its own Italian restaurant.

Lodges: The 18 lodges are to be found in the Caledonian pine forest at the Resort and offer something a little different for visitors. The lodges offer excellent facilities in their position in this tranquil part of the Resort and indeed the country.

Aviemore is ideal for skiing with its superb mountains, while golf, watersports and fishing are also top activities. Other popular things to do in the surrounding area include: the Highland Wildlife Park, the Highland Folk Museum and the Jacobite Experience at Loch Ness.

By air: The Hotel is 40 minutes from Inverness Airport and two hours from Edinburgh.

By rail: Aviemore train station is just 200 metres from the Resort.

By car: From the North - Leave A9 as signposted for Aviemore (B970), turn right at the T junction and follow road through Aviemore village. Turn right at the first roundabout into the Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort.
From the South - Leave A9 as signposted for Aviemore (B970), turn left at the T junction and follow the road into Aviemore village. Immediately after the Esso garage on the right, turn left into Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort.
