There are plenty of opportunities for avid shoppers in Bedfordshire; the county offers a good range of high street shops and smaller retailers, and there are several notable shopping centres. The main shopping facilities in Bedfordshire can logically be found in the county’s larger towns: Luton and Bedford both have good shopping and an impressive array of facilities. Some of Bedfordshire’s smaller towns and villages also have a reasonable selection of shops, and some of the market towns such as Woburn and Biggleswade still host outdoor markets. Bedfordshire is also fortunate in that there are some good shopping opportunities on its peripheries – Milton Keynes and its renowned MK shopping centre, and the historic university town of Cambridge both have much to offer, while the retail cornucopia of London can be reached in under an hour.
