Bournemouth, although revered as one of the UK’s most vibrant party towns, has seemingly run dry when it comes to good pubs. While the town centre boasts a plethora of formulaic chain pubs, traditional inns with real ale are rather more thin on the ground. The neighbouring town of Poole fares rather better, and venturing into the Dorset countryside unearths some real gems. Below are some of Bournemouth’s better pubs.
