Buckinghamshire is a county with impressive shopping facilities. As the largest town in the county, Milton Keynes naturally is equipped with the most diverse shopping facilities, with a host of top names, department stores and convenient retail parks. The Centre: MK is one of the largest shopping centres in Europe, and is home to a great variety of familiar names. While they may not have MK’s choice or range of shops, the small traditional market towns of Buckingham and Aylesbury have a reasonable selection of shops, with arts and crafts and antiques particularly well represented. The other notable town in Buckinghamshire for shopping is High Wycombe; the town centre itself has a decent array of shops, while just off the M40 is a large ASDA supermarket and John Lewis department store. Farmers’ markets and Sunday outdoor markets are still alive and well in Buckinghamshire; many of the county’s small market towns still offer regular opportunities to buy fresh local produce, while the weekly market at Finmere attracts crowds from far and wide.
