Cambridgeshire offers a good selection of shops and retail outlets, with everything from major High Street names to smaller more specialist dealers. The main shopping is to be found in the county’s larger towns and cities; Cambridge is well known for the wealth and diversity of the shops lining its historic streets and lanes, and nearby Huntingdon and Peterborough also offer a good range of familiar names – the latter with its Queensgate Shopping Centre offers a particularly impressive choice of shops. Elsewhere in the county there are historic market towns and villages, and many still host frequent outdoor markets. Additionally, given the county’s excellent road and rail links with London, the capital’s plethora of shopping and retail are just over an hour away.
