Carsebuie is a pretty, secluded cottage in Kirkcowan, near Newton Stewart, surrounded by unspoilt Scottish countryside along the southern edge of Galloway Forest Park. The cottage itself is pleasantly decorated and complete with all the facilities guests could possibly need. There are four comfortable bedrooms, plus a pull-out bed in the living room, which in total can amply accommodate up to 10 people. The rest of the cottage is also furnished to welcome this size group, as well as being suitable for children, disabled and elderly visitors. Well-behaved pets can also be considered on request. The area is brimming with outdoor activities or the chance to simply relax and enjoy the view, but for those rainy days or lazy summer evenings Carsebuie also contains plenty to keep you entertained. Indoors, there is a DVD player and stereo system, while outdoors there is a barbecue and a games room with table tennis, and a children's play area. Internet access is also available throughout.
Fifteen miles further south, on the coast of Galloway, lies Pavilion Cottage. The cottage is perfectly situated only a few minutes' walk from the sea and the natural beauty of Riggs Bay. Pavilion cottage is similar to Carsebuie, with well-appointed rooms and suitability for children and pets, with a maximum occupancy of 8 guests. In addition, the cottage contains an outdoor heated swimming pool and a large enclosed garden. The cottage sits within the walled garden of Garlieston House, which is itself part of the Galloway House Estate, former noble residence and now organic farm. The cottage is surrounded by the Galloway House gardens, which are open to the public during the summer months and are well worth exploring.
