The fortress was never completed, and the unfinished complex has been restored and is now home to Captive Island, a museum depicting the German Occupation of Jersey. Reconstructed rooms, archive films, and a collection of Occupation memorabilia are on display inside, while anti-aircraft gun positions, barbed-wire entanglements, crawl trenches, and a Garden of Reflection can be found outside.
