Cheltenham provides an excellent selection of shops, and is the shopping capital of the Cotswolds region. Much of Cheltenham's beautiful Regency town centre is pedestrianised and there is ample car parking. The town centre is divided into four main shopping districts: The Promenade is a handsome boulevard, and is home to many familiar High Street names, as well as Cheltenham’s very own department store Cavenish House; Regent Street is another attractive shopping street with a host of big name stores, as well as the famous Regent Arcade; Cheltenham High Street, along with the usual big names, is home to the Beechwood shopping centre; Montpellier is the bohemian quarter of Cheltenham, with its array of antiques, crafts and collectibles shops, as well as The Courtyard, with its two levels of shops around a sunken central piazza. Markets are also prominent in Cheltenham; the bi-weekly Farmer's Market on the town’s historic Promenade is a popular feature, and the famous Cheltenham Racecourse is host to a large antiques fayre on the last Sunday of every month.
