There is a host of delightful little speciality, curiosity and gift shops to be found in most of the attractive towns and villages of the Cotswolds, however the region is noted more as an escape from the strains and stresses of the High Street than as a centre for shopping. The nearby cities of Bristol, Bath, Swindon, Cheltenham and Oxford however have excellent shopping facilities.
