County Cavan is almost exclusively rural and is very sparsely populated, so opportunities for shopping are fairly limited. Some mainstream retail brands can be found in County Cavan’s towns and villages, but for large shopping trips people tend to look slightly further afield.
There are, nevertheless, a multitude of small, local shops selling all manner of arts and crafts and produce, much of which can be found nowhere else in the country.

Cavan Crystal continues to be produced in the time honoured tradition, with local craftsmen maintaining their proud tradition to this day. Visitors can see the crystal being made and purchase the finished product.
