Donegal Castle was constructed by the O'Donnell chieftain in the 15th century, although much of it was renovated in the 17th century by later owners. Inside the castle is furnished with French tapestries and Persian rugs, while displays outline the history of the castle and its owners from the 15th century up to the modern age.
