Given its rather isolated position from the rest of the Republic of Ireland, County Donegal is considerably less commercially developed than many other regions of the country. As a result, while it may be one of the most naturally beautiful parts of Ireland, opportunities for shopping are rather limited in terms of mainstream retail brands.


There are, however, a multitude of small, local shops and craftsmen selling an incredible range of goods unique to this part of Ireland, from pottery to glass and knitwear.
