County Kildare may not be home to any cities of significant size, but it is nevertheless not entirely devoid of opportunities for shopping. Having opened in July 2006, Kildare Village contains some of Ireland and the UK’s biggest retail brands. The design of the outlet centre has been influenced by the nearby stud farms, while the centre also contains a tourist information office, two restaurants and a children’s play area.

The Whitewater Centre is the Ireland’s largest shopping development outside of Dublin. Covering an area of 3.4 hectares, the shopping centre opened in April 2006, and is now home to many of the world’s most famous retail brands, attracting shoppers from all over County Kildare and beyond.
