There are a number of opportunities for shopping in County Limerick, with Limerick City in particular being of note. In addition to Arthur’s Quay Shopping Centre in the city centre, Crescent Shopping Centre and Parkway Shopping Centre can be found on the outskirts.
Furthermore, there are a host of small, independent retailers selling a vast array of unique local arts and crafts and local produce in both Limerick City itself and the surrounding picturesque towns and villages.

Originally constructed during the 1830s, the Market Quarter remains one of the busiest commercial districts of Limerick, having been restored to its former glory in 1994. Now pedestrianised, a wide range of produce is sold on Saturdays, from vegetables to butter and cakes, while on Fridays local craftsmen display their wares. The Market Quarter enjoys something of a carnival atmosphere, with buskers and street entertainers making it an area of Limerick to explore above all others.
