Navan is the largest town in County Meath and as a result is the premier location for shopping. The Navan Shopping Centre hosts more than 70 shops, including many of national and international retail’s biggest brands. It was once the centre of a thriving carpet and furniture industry, but this has now largely ceased due to competition from Eastern Europe. Towns such as Trim also feature a great number of famous shops, meaning shoppers will find plenty of places to spend their money.
But like many other regions of Ireland the greatest opportunities for shopping are in the county’s multitude of small, independent stores selling an incredible variety of unique local goods, many of which can be found nowhere else in the world. |
