County Sligo is populated largely by small towns and villages and so opportunities for shopping across the county are fairly limited in terms of mainstream brands. However, there are a host of small, independent shops selling genuinely unique local products that can be found nowhere else.


Sligo town, however, is the biggest shopping centre in the north west of Ireland, with a host of retail outlets selling a wide variety of goods and products. Along with many original, traditional shops selling everything from clothes to books and arts & crafts, there are also a number of new shopping centre developments hosting many of Ireland’s biggest retail brands.
