There are 30 rooms at Cowley Manor Hotel, and like the rest of the hotel, the room nomenclature is unconventional – ‘Best’ is a four-poster suite with a private terrace and stunning countryside views; ‘Exceptional’ are suites in various layouts, some with a terrace, some with a separate sitting room; ‘Great’ are large king-size rooms; ‘Better’ are deluxe double rooms; and ‘Good’ is the entry-level room although there is nothing ‘standard’ about them. Décor and furnishings are innovative and extremely modern, but comfort has not been unduly compromised and the level of equipment in each room is very good.
