Crewe Hall is a four-star Hotel in a grand 17th century building, converted from its beginnings as a Jacobean house in 1636. Records show that there were occupants on the site dating back to Norman times but now it provides visitors of all descriptions an excellent opportunity to relax amid picturesque surroundings. The building became a Hotel only a few years back after previously being under the ownership of the Marques of Crewe and for much of the 20th century the Duchy of Lancaster. The venue boasts visits in the past from various leaders and politicians including in the early 1900s King George V and Queen Mary. The grade one listed building displays an array of stained glass windows, marble fireplaces and elaborately designed ceilings. There is a plethora of activities in the nearby area to keep guests occupied, including Jodrell Bank Science Centre, Chester Zoo, the Blue Planet Aquarium and Alton Towers. There is also much in the way of sports and outdoor activities, whether it be golf, tennis, horse racing or a gentle walk through the countryside.

Crewe Hall has recently seen an extra 52 guest bedrooms added to the existing 65 rooms available, some of which are Deluxe rooms, Junior Suites and Suites. Some of the rooms are situated in the traditional manor part of the Hall. The Hotel’s award-winning Restaurant provides guests with a formal dining option while the Brasserie is a less formal attraction and presents a more modern side to the building. Crewe Hall’s magnificent buildings provide the perfect setting for those all-important business launch meetings or team building exercises. There are 17 meeting and conference rooms able to cater for between two and 350 guests depending on the occasion. Guests will be able to make the most of a new Reflections Leisure Centre on site from May 2008 but in the meantime can enjoy discounted rates at the nearby Bannatyne’s Leisure Club. The Hotel also has outdoor hard surface tennis courts available for hire.
