Derbyshire has more than its fair share of shopping facilities around the county. The county town of Derby is where the biggest selection of shops is to be found, with a good mix of large High Street names, smaller retailers and also an outdoor market; the Eagle Shopping Centre has recently received a much-needed facelift, and there is also no shortage of out of town shopping and retail parks nearby.
Other towns in Derbyshire such as Ilkeston and Chesterfield, and the picturesque towns of Ashbourne and Glossop, also have their own shopping facilities. A more extensive selection of shops can, of course, be found in the nearby cities of Nottingham, Sheffield and Manchester.
