Set within an elegant grade II listed Georgian-style country house amidst 13 acres of grounds and gardens, Eaves Hall Country Hotel is a quintessentially English country retreat. Offering magnificent views of the Ribble Valley, the hotel is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty that has, as yet, escaped the ravages of mass tourism. But despite this idyllic rural setting, there are a host of things to see and do in the local area, complemented by a wide range of guest and leisure facilities within the hotel grounds.
The history of Eaves Hall is a long one, stretching back to Tudor times. In the intervening centuries there have been three Eaves Halls constructed on two different sites, although within 600 yards of each other. As a result, the current Eaves Hall boasts a tangibly historic ambience. All rooms exude this period character, but are nevertheless equipped with all modern amenities, including TV, direct-dial telephones and Internet access. Most rooms also offer magnificent views of the grounds and the surrounding Lancashire countryside. In addition to single, twin or double bedded rooms, the Eaves Hall Country Hotel also features Premier and Select Rooms and two self-catering cottages. The hotel’s in-house restaurant is as esteemed as one would expect of such a highly regarded hotel. Jonathan's Restaurant is one of the most acclaimed in Lancashire, serving both Table d'Hote and A la carte menus. It has become particularly popular among both guests and locals for its traditional British dishes with a modern twist, and for the superb views of the hotel gardens. Elegant and refined, while dining is in itself not an overly formal affair, the restaurant does operate a smart causal dress code. For a more informal dining experience, guests can order lighter snacks and meals in the warm and cosy bar, which features a garden terrace overlooking the Crown Bowling Green for al fresco dining. Alternatively, guests can relax and unwind with a drink after a day exploring this sublime part of Lancashire. Those looking for a more outdoorsy experience are similarly well catered for at the Eaves Hall Country Hotel. The 13-acres of grounds accommodate a host of leisure activities, such as Crown Bowls, pitch and putt and tennis, or fishing on a private stretch of the River Ribble. Activities ranging from archery to laser clay pigeon shooting, meanwhile, can be arranged for groups.
