Hertfordshire offers a good range of shopping facilities, and there is much to please even the most ardent shopper. Most of the county’s large towns and cities have a good selection of familiar High Street names; Hertford and St Albans offer excellent shopping facilities within their historic streets. Rather less historic, but with excellent shopping, is Hatfield – The Galleria Outlet Centre, which is situated above the Hatfield Tunnel, is one of the region’s largest and busiest indoor shopping centres and offers a wealth of big names as well as cafes and restaurants. The towns of Stevenage and Hemel Hempstead also have their share of shopping facilities, and there are plenty of small historic market towns such as Hitchin where regular outdoor markets are held. Hertfordshire is also close to London , with its renowned shopping facilities.
