Leighton Hall is an elegant country house set in beautiful parkland in the far north of Lancashire. It was built by the furniture-making Gillow family, and the handsome neo-Gothic house features many of their finest works, as well as an excellent collection of artworks. Lancashire had several great mill towns during the 19th Century, but Burnley was perhaps the most prolific of them all.
