Originally constructed during the 1830s, the Market Quarter remains one of the busiest commercial districts of Limerick, having been restored to its former glory in 1994. Now pedestrianised, a wide range of produce is sold on Saturdays, from vegetables to butter and cakes, while on Fridays local craftsmen display their wares.
