Llandudno is a quintessential Victorian seaside resort, and offers the usual vendors of rock, souvenirs and novelties. Yet the town centre is slightly more elegant than ‘Kiss me quick’ hats and novelty tea towels; there is an impressive array of Victorian and Edwardian arcades and shopping parades, and there is a good – although not excellent – selection of High Street names and chain stores. Llandudno is a pleasant enough shopping experience, although its once-grand architecture and patina appeals more than the shops themselves. There are however plenty of antiques shops and speciality shops, and a decent selection of cafes and coffee shops to revive flagging shoppers. The Victoria Centre is the town’s largest shopping centre and has most of the familiar shops one would expect, along with a few intriguing specialist outlets.
