Majorca Shopping

Virtually every type of shopping is available in Majorca, from designer boutiques in the island’s biggest towns, to unique local markets in its array of small towns and villages.


The main towns of Palma and Magaluf are home to many of international retail’s biggest brands, catering for the hordes of foreign tourists who flock to the island every year. Palma’s main shopping are Avinguda Jaume III and the Passeig des Born, offering everything from top designer shops to small boutiques. More specialist shops can be found around Placa Major, while those looking for a more mainstream shopping experience usually head for the Centro Comercial Porto Pi, Palma’s modern shopping mall and hypermarket complex.


Visitors can get a more authentic shopping experience outside of Majorca’s major towns and resorts. Shops and markets tend to be centred around little squares and streets, offering a far different ambience to the temples of retail found in Palma. All manner of local arts and crafts can be found in these shops and markets, many of which make for perfect souvenirs.
