The New Forest and Hampshire County Show is one of the highlights of Hampshire’s social calendar. Rated as one of the top ten Agricultural and Equestrian Shows in the UK, it attracts tens of thousands of visitors every year with its fascinating and entertaining mix of traditional country pursuits, exhibitions and demonstrations. First held in 1921, the New Forest and Hampshire County Show has an illustrious heritage, and this year is hosting a number of new attractions, bringing a new and exciting dimension to this historic event.
Visitors can marvel at the speed and precision of the Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery, commanded by the troop’s first ever female commanding officer, Major Erica Bridge. There will also be demonstrations by international showjumpers and for the kids, the David Beckham Football Academy, enabling the little ones to learn the skills needed to be England’s next footballing maestro.
Getting there could not be easier, with ample free parking and a pay-as-you-go shuttle bus service from Brockenhurst mainline station. And with more than 500 trade exhibitors, horses and livestock as well as this year’s main attractions, visitors of every age group will be spoiled for choice.
